All Good Things...

2 - 2 Tie in Soccer: SUCCESS!!

Had a game of soccer with Ruffle's team. It was amazing how bad I could be at indoor soccer. Basically every rule that they told me on what not to do - I did. Too close to the goalie, no heads shots, flag your sub-ing. Basically it got to the point where the referee just ran along beside me. And like a handicapped kid, he'd just tell me not to do what I was doing rather than blow the whistle. "No, no, can't do that - get on this side of the line. this side of the line .... THIS SIDE OF THE LINE!"

At one point I was particularily proud. It was an indoor match so they had mesh all along the sidelines. I was running along with the ball ..... and accidently got caught up in the meshing. OH, and the one time, I fell down and the ball came near. I tried to kick while I was lying down, but was like three feet away. It looked like when a toddler is tired of his toy and trys to kick it away.

But I wasn't the only one entertaining the crowd. Ruffles was having an interesting game. If there was any way a guy can get hurt playing soccer - it happened to Ruffles in that game. By the end it looked like someone had threw him down a cooley. elbow to the nose, kick to the thumb(?), twisted hip - the guy had serious luck. But he was living the dream out there.

Kyle had a better game than the rest of us. We could only laugh at a couple kicks and the amount of moisture that was coming off him.
