ID Alternative

Lost your ID and big foamy cowboy hat at a stag party the other weekend? We've all been there.

Now you are without your ID, argueing with the bouncer at the bar claiming that they have just lost a valued customer and begging them to just let you in. This happened to me during the play-offs and went down to the registration office to grab a new ID. Low and behold, it was going to be at least a week before I'd be getting my new one! So I flat out told the guy that I need to get into the bar and asked if he knew of any (immediate) alternatives.

He laughed, but then saw the desparation and intensity in my eyes. I felt like such a drunk - but anyways. So he looked up some things and came back with an idea.

Now I haven't tried this ID, but if you go to the Alberta Identification Bureau, for $23.00 they will issue a non-government photo ID. Apparently alot of ex-cons use these because they can't get a passport and don't have a driver's license.
